First Enthusiast Builds His Own Chevrolet Engine

Ever thought about building your own new Chevrolet model? If you have, you're one ambitious auto enthusiasts. And Chevrolet respects that. The automaker fully supports its brand followers...especially those with an itch to build cars. Chuck Nash Auto Group knows this because Chevrolet offers consumers the chance to build their very own Chevy LS7 crate engine.

That's right. You could put together the very same Chevrolet part that keeps your beloved vehicle running. One automotive aficionado, Jeff Kasper from California, took the automaker up on its offer and became the first person to complete the GM Crate Engine Build Experience.

Just as the name implies, the General Motors program allows participants to have both hands in every part of the engine's construction and leaves them with the experience-of-a-lifetime. Regarding his own build, Kasper exclaims, "Going inside the assembly facility and actually participating in building my very own engine greatly exceeded my expectations...the build program was the trill of a lifetime."1

After completing every step from installing the crankshaft to tightening down the intake, participants are able to engrave their name on an engine plaque. Then professional engineers will help run tests on the engine to make sure it's safe and ready before enthusiasts are able to put it in their very own Chevy model.

Sound like the kind of hands-on automotive experience you're looking for? Feel free to contact Chuck Nash Auto Group to find out how you can apply. If you have any questions about the program or Chevrolet engines, we invite you to swing by 3209 North Interstate 35 San Marcos, TX 78666 and ask away!
