GMC Diesel Sierra Wins Towing Challenge

Chevy 100th Anniversary Woodward-Bound Parade

Unlike many people, Chevy isn't embarrassed, or even bashful, about telling their age. Rather they've been talking about their 100-year anniversary practically since the calendar turned over to January 2011. And, festivities celebrating the company's century of success have been popping up periodically ever since.

The American automaker's most recent effort to commemorate the company's 100-year history was a parade down Woodward Avenue in Detroit, MI. To kick things off a troupe of classic Chevy models revved their engines in nearly deafening unison. Adding volume to the sentiment was an almost equally deafening silence. For joining the vintage Dream Cruise in Chevy's 100-year celebratory parade were nearly 50 ultra-quiet Chevrolet Volt electric vehicles (EVs) and handful of prospective and forthcoming  models, such as the new Chevy Camaro ZL1 and 2012 Chevy Sonic.
